We, and any third party provider we engage to help with the analytics, do not make any attempt to find out the identity of visitors to our website. People who complete the Enquiry forms on our website
We ask for certain personal information on this form in order to effectively respond to potential clients about their needs. Information in the enquiry will be stored in an anonymous format, ie the name, contact number and email will be removed. We use this anonymous information for monitoring and business development purposes. To protect any personal information visitors enter on our website, we employ security and encryption to current internet standards.

When someone calls us we collect Calling Line Identification (CLI) information. We use this information to monitor the effectiveness of our marketing and business. We record all calls for training and monitoring purposes. Call recording is provided by our telephone service provider. Access to recordings is restricted to Stanford Mortgage & Financial Services Limited personnel.

People who email us
We may use any email, including any attachments, sent to us to support the services that we provide to the sender. We may retain details from emails in an anonymised format for monitoring and business development purposes. Emails from clients will be stored in their client file and may be processed for the purposes of providing relevant services to them.

People who become clients of Stanford Mortgage & Financial Services Limited
When someone becomes a client we will maintain a client file which will record details both electronically and on paper. We will collect and process personal and sensitive personal information about the client in order to provide our services to them. This information will be held securely and confidentially. We may also use personal information for marketing purposes and clients have the right to opt out of this.

Disclosure and sharing of personal information
We do not disclose or share personal information, however obtained, unless we have consent or are legally required to do so. There are a number of situations where we need to share information in order to provide our services to clients. We will share client information: 

  • with HL Partnership Limited who are responsible for supervising Stanford Mortgage & Financial Services Limited for activities regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority;
  • in enquiries and applications to mortgage lenders;
  • in enquiries and applications to insurance providers;
  • when legally required to do so;
  • where necessary for the purposes of preventing crime;
  • where we believe this will protect the safety of the client or the safety of others.


Client consent may be implied in relation to submitting enquiries or applications. Consent is not required where we have a legal obligation to disclose or share information.

Access to personal information
Stanford Mortgage & Financial Services Limited believes in being open and transparent about the personal information it holds about someone. Individuals can submit a subject access request under the Data Protection Act 1998 to ask if any information is held about them. If we hold information then we will provide a description of it, explain why we are holding it and can provide a copy if requested to do so. Requests must be made in writing and should be sent to the Data Controller at our registered office address. If an individual believes there are inaccuracies in the information we hold then they can ask us to correct it. Again, this should be submitted in writing to the Data Controller at our registered office address.
